6 Teams played in a round robin format to decide the winners. After some excellent games the final round included Harpole and Pytchley. After a keenly fought game the Pytchley team of Chris Weston, Dave Ekins, Chris Drage and Liz Talbot won the event.
15 Pairs of Over 55’s were played in groups of five, then onto a knockout to decide the eventual winners. The final was between Chris Hopkins and Steve McAllister facing Chris Weston and Dave Ekins. Chris and Steve emerging once again this year as the winners. Well done for an excellent start to the County Qualifiers.
Ladies Singles, although not very well supported was a closely fought competition. Brenda Hart of Manor won the final against Jenny Pearson of Old Stratford
18 Pairs took part in this competition which was played to nine ends. Edward Sawbridge and Steve McAllister beat Robin Patching and Ian Dale. Alan Lodge and Andrew Smith beat Gordon Watts and Sarah Watts. The final was played between the two runners up and the eventual winners were Ed and Steve. it was a very good days bowling.
A busy day with teams playing several matches to eight ends, in a good spirit of competition. The semi-finals were between Old Stratford V Cranfield and Gt. Houghton V Pytchley. The winners of the semi finals played each other and the eventual winners were the team of Old Stratford – Chris Hopkins, Edward Sawbridge, Aaron Clare and Steve McAllister
The triples competition was well supported with 10 teams playing 8 ends for each game. A semi final was followed by a final played with Steve McAllister, Chris Hopkins and Edward Sawbridge against Chris Weston, Dave Ekins and Alan Lodge. The final was won by the team of Steve, Chris and Edward
A strongly contested singles competition. The semi finals were between Chris Weston V Edward Sawbridge and Jenny Pearson V Colin Dell. The final was between Edward and Colin which was won by Edward. Well done Edward
